WELSH DUAL CODE FORWARD SIGN WITH THE WEST WALES RAIDERS FOR 2019

The Raiders are pleased to announce that Mike Connor signs with the Raiders for the upcoming season.

Dual code Connor began playing league back for the South Wales Scorpions, he also played for Wales rugby league at under 18’s, 20’s and students.

After his stint in league he then found his role with rugby union as he became a WRU hub officer and a coach for the Cardiff Blues Ladies squad.

His most recent time in rugby union saw him travel to Dubai to play sevens last December, since then he has joined up with Kim and the squad to prepare for the upcoming season.

Head Coach Kim Williams added “The signing of Mike adds another level of depth to our forward pack which now looks to have a good balance between experience and youth. Mike has played at this level before and can cover second row or lock, and he has arrived at the club with an obvious determination to establish himself in League 1. I have no doubt he will be a very good signing for us for season 2019.”
